The Challenge

Women and children in rural Africa walk an average of 6-8 hours each day to find and carry water.  The needs are still great.

With a community water well, these women and children could instead spend their time earning an income or getting an education… and they could get healthy rather than get sick.

Consider the Statistics

·  The world’s #1 killer is unclean water.
·  Women and children often spend 6-8 hours each day finding and carrying
water for their families. Typically only dirty, disease-ridden water is available.
·  At least 80% of all sickness in the entire world is attributed to unsafe water.
·  Globally, at least 884 million people are without access to improved water
   sources.
·  Every 8 seconds, a child dies because of unsafe water.

Can You Help a Needy Village?

Please contact us to learn how to adopt a needy village and sponsor a water well.
The Short-Term Solution
You can easily help people by putting something simple in their hands.  It’s called a LifeStraw, and it purifies dirty water.

The Sustainable Solution
The ultimate, long-term solution for a community is a water well, an eco-friendly windmill to pump the water and a storage tank.

The Challenge
You’ve seen what it takes to provide clean water.  Can you help us make a bigger splash?
